I Am Not the Answer

When the Israelites left Egypt The Lord was always before them. He met them in their bravery of leaving and escaping the deadly conflict they found themselves in.
This generation I live in is generous. When a need is presented to them it is met. I have witnessed it time and time again. The key to meeting the need is how tangible the answer is. In terms of Greece there is a major need with the refugees that have been flooding in over the past 5 years. But the answer to this need is not only unknown but seemingly unattainable.
I have been invited to go over and help but I am not the answer. My group is not the answer and neither is the organization I work for. But I can help. For two weeks I can be another set of hands there. I can give them a dry piece of clothing. I can drive them to needed destinations. I can take pictures that expose the reality of the situation. I can be the arms that hold a terrified child. I can hand over a dry piece of clothing. I can be there. I will be there.
I have the opportunity to be among the first people to meet those escaping the terror of their homeland. I have the opportunity for The Lord to work through me and be the fire that lights the way.
